Bengt Jansson, M.A.Sc, P.Eng.

Our structural engineering division is led by Bengt Jansson, a structural engineer with more than 18 years of experience designing architectural building projects and other structures.

Originally from Sweden, Bengt came to Canada in 1989 and has since worked closely with Vancouver's top architectural firms on many of the city's high profile projects. His award-winning work is on display throughout British Columbia.

As Parallel's managing partner for structural engineering, Bengt is available to lead structural design projects with all major building systems and types.

Bengt has successfully completed more than 150 building projects, including Vancouver Aquarium Diversification Laboratory, NOTC Dining/Galley Building for CFB Esquimalt, Prince George Airport in Prince George and Banser Residence and Family Retreat. Bengt also played an active role in developing an innovative timber floor system for multi-storey residential buildings in Sweden. He continues to have a special interest in timber structures and architecturally exposed structures.
